1930’s
1930: British and Palestine Sections of the police deployed to protect Jewish farms and colonies. Jewish colonies were supplied with armories in addition to the weapons they were importing illegally. Telephones/roads to Zionist settlements established to speed help in event of Arab attacks. Arab communities not given the same considerations for when Jews attacked them.
1931 Irgun: Jewish Terrorist Polyp Formed out of Haganah. Irgun was a more violent version of Haganah. Irgun included Menachem Begin, later to become Prime Minister of Israel. Irgun would last until 1949 when its luminaries were incorporated into the Israeli military.
January, 30, 1933 Adolph Hitler becomes German Chancellor.
24 March 1933: Jews from other countries begin boycott of Nazi Germany. Years before Kristallnacht, concentration camps, etc. and against wishes of German Jews, leading newspapers in the US and Europe come out with screaming full front page stories like: Judea declares war on Germany: Jews of all the world unite in action. Article says 14 million Jews world wide will unite to support German Jews. “To stand by the 600,000 Jews of Germany who are terrorized by Hitlerist anti-Semitism…” The boycott lasted throughout the war prompting reprisals from Nazis just as German Jews had said would happen. [Obvious point here: this was quite a different stance than that which Zionists adopted in response to people boycotting Israel today.]
August, 25, 1933: Haavara Agreement: Agreement between Nazi Germany and Zionist Jews, including the Jewish Agency, by which the Zionists could sell their assets in Germany and transfer them to British Mandatory Palestine. This enabled about 60,000 German Jews to move to Palestine. In 6 years the program transferred about $35,000,000 ($835,493,000 in 2024 dollars)
1934 Vladimir Jabotinsky, with agreement from his mentor Fascist Benito Mussolini, forms Betar Naval Academy in Italy to train Zionist cadets for Zionist Naval service in Palestine.
October 1935: Discovery of massive arms shipment to Haganah terrorists fuels Arab apprehensions they’re lands are going to be seized by force.
1936 Jaffa Riots (not to be confused with the 1921 Jaffa Riots) signal the beginning of the Great Arab Revolt.
1936-1939 ‘The Great Arab Revolt’: in Palestine: During these three years of insurrection through labor strikes, riots, guerilla warfare, and failed politics 5,000 Palestinians would be killed, 15,000 wounded. July 1936: Peel Commission Reoprt to the League of Nations: Another European betrayal of the Palestinians. Peel Commission tells the League that the British Mandate was unworkable due to massive European Jewish immigration. Proposes partitioning Palestine by [forcibly] moving Palestinians out of the Jewish part. Arabs condemned/rejected partition plan. In 1937 the Zionist Congress also rejected partition plan. Chaim Weizmann testifies to Commission that there were six million European Jews with no place in the world to go. [In 1981 it was revealed that the Jewish Agency bugged the Peel Commission’s conference meeting room so Ben Gurion could read transcripts of what was said].

January 01, 1937: Jerusalem Massacre: Irgun terrorist bombs vegetable market near Damascus gate killing dozens of Palestinians.
March 17, 1937: Irgun terrorist throws grenade into cafe full of Palestinians in Jerusalem.
March 06, 1937: Haifa Massacre: Irgun and Lehi terrorists bomb Haifa market killing 18 Arabs wounding 52.
July 06, 1938:Haifa Massacre: Irgun terrorists blow up Haifa market killing 21 Arabs wounding 52.
July 13, 1938: Jerusalem Massacre: terrorists blow up vegetable market in the Old City killing 10 Arabs, 31 wounded.
July 15, 1938: Jerusalem Massacre: Irgun terrorist throws grenade at Muslims leaving mosque. 10 killed, 30 wounded.
July 25, 1938: Haifa Massacre: Irgun terrorists detonate car bomb in crowded market killing 35 Arabs, wounding 70.
July 26, 1938: Haifa Massacre: Irgun terrorist throws hand grenade into crowded market killing 47 Arabs.
August 26, 1938: Jerusalem Massacre: Irgun terrorists detonate car bomb in crowded market killing 34 Arabs wounding 35.
March 27, 1939: Haifa Massacre: Irgun terrorists detonate two car bombs in Haifa killing 27 Arabs wounding 39.
June 12, 1939: Balad Al-Shaykh Massacre: Haganah terrorists raid village. Murder 5 Arabs.
June 19, 1939: Haifa Massacre: Zionist terrorist throw grenade into crowded market killing 9, wounding 4.
1938-1939: British Christian Zionist Fanatic Orde Wingate forms Special Night Squads. Goals of protecting Iraq Petroleum Pipeline and displacing Arabs. Death Squads led by Wingate armed and trained Zionists to attack Arab villagers. These squads were based in Jewish settlements. Wingate was so brutal even his own men complained. Working with the British freed the Zionists from censure by the British Colonial Administration. Yitzhak Sadeh, future commander of Haganah terrorist group, Palmach, was in the SNS, as was Moshe Dyan (who later became Israel’s Defense Minister), and Yigal Allon (who later became Prime Minister of Israel for a few weeks).
“The mercurial Wingate was a fanatical supporter of the Jewish State and he filled the SNS’ with Jewish soldiers training for a future war of survival against the local Palestinians, which would come in 1948. This, alongside the lack of a formal chain of command, meant that the brutality by the SNS quickly spiralled out of control, upsetting senior officers mindful of the negative impact of atrocity stories… British SNS brutality prompted Jewish soldiers, taught them how to deal with insurgency, and insurgents, and set within a colonial legal framework of collective punisment and punative action that normalized draconian action.
Wingate’s contacts included Chaim Weizmann, and the heads of all the settlements. They all knew Wingate.” “Wingate’s Palestine papers prove he was exchanging masses of secret documents with the Jews.”
Compares British integrating/handing over parts of its military apparatus to local non-native white settler communities in other parts of the empire (Kenya in the 1950’s for example, military operations to settlers of the Kenya Regiment and the Kenya Police Reserve units that committed the worst abuses against Mau Mau fighters.
Wingate himself became problematic enough that he was kicked out of Palestine. He ended up being killed in a airplane crash in 1944 which Field Marshall Montgomery told Dyan many years later, was the best thing Wingate ever did.”
During WW2 the Nazis adapted SNS tactics which they called, Night and Fog. The Israelis use the same tactics today in almost nightly raids against Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank.
May, 23, 1939: White Paper on Palestine approved by House of Commons: The paper outlined British policy that called for establishing a Jewish national home in an independent Palestinian state within 10 years.Also, nixed Peel-Commission plan for partitioning Palestine, limited Jewish immigration to 75,000 for five years after which the Arab majority would determine immigration policy. Jews were restricted from bying Arab lands in 95% of Mandate Palestine. The paper had been crafted unilaterally by the British and was rejected by Zionists and most Arab parties.
