May 25,1950: Triparate Declaration. Between United States, UK, France to slow arms to Arabs and Israelis. All antagonists found ways around it.
1951: Jerusalem Program. 23rd World Zionist Congress replaces the 1897 Basel Program. Upgrades goals of Zionists since the State of Israel had been established.
October 14/15, 1953: Quibya Massacre. Jewish terrorist and later Prime Minister of Israel Ariel Sharon (born Ariel Scheinerman to parents who emigrated from the Republic of Georgia to Palestine in 1922.) The narrative will be a template for all Israeli responses to massacres they commit in future.1) deny they were involved 2) minimize 3) claim self-defense 4) play the victim. 5) Call everyone anti-Semites.
What happened according to statements from UN citation below: Sharon with about 300 heavily armed Israeli troops, supported by a demolition squadron, mined roads leading into the hamlet of Quibya north of Ramallah in the West Bank. At 7:30 the Israelis began bombing the civilian homes with their families inside. They bombed them until about 4 a.m. next morning.As the UN commander pointed out the attack had to be well planned to carry out such a sudden and sustained attack for the attackers to avoid being hit by their own fire. Also most of the people were killed at close range, and the attackers shelled other villages to cover their escape.
The Israelis placed mines against houses to bring them down on families. They also threw dynamite into the houses and shot villagers who tried to flee. 66 Palestinian villagers-mostly women and children-were killed, dozens wounded, 45 houses, 2 schools and a mosque were destroyed. Sharon would later write in his biography that all the people killed were civilians. The attack was internationally condemned.
At first Ben Gurion denied it was the Israeli military who did it. He claimed it was some Israeli vigilantes and that all Israeli units were accounted for in their barracks that night. When that fell through, due to so much evidence to the contrary, the Israelis claimed they were the victims were defending themselves against Arab attacks. Later the Israelis minimize how many were involved and claim they didn’t know there were families in the houses. Then they claim they feel really bad about it. October 22, 1953 A week after the Quibya Massacre, President Eisenhower announces the United States will suspend economic aid to Israel due to multiple violations of United Nations rulings. As far as I can determine this is the last time such a public statement has been made by the American government.
1953: Jerusalem Program stated that : “The task of Zionism is the consolidation of the State of Israel, the in-gathering of exiles in Eretz Israel, and the fostering of the unity of the Jewish people. The program of work of the World Zionist Program is:
1) Encouragement of immigration, absorption and integration of immigrants; support of Youth Aliyah; stimulation of agricultural settlement and economic development; acquisition of land as the property of the people.
2) Intensive work for the Halutziut (pioneering) and Hachsharah (training for Halutzuit).
3) Concentrated effort to harness funds in order to carry out the tasks of Zionism.
4) Encouragement of private capital investment.
5) Fostering of Jewish consciousness by propagating the Zionist idea and strengthening the Zionist Movement; imparting the values of Judaism; Hebrew education and spreading the Hebrew language.
6) Mobilizing world public opinion for Israel and Zionism.
7) Participation in efforts to organize and intensify Jewish life on democratic foundations, maintenance and defense of Jewish rights.
Early 1950’s: Yemenite Children Affair. Thousands of babies and toddlers born to Arab Jewish refugees in newly minted Israel disappeared. Mostly from Yemen but also from Egypt, Morocco, Iraq. Official narrative of the Jewish state is the babies died in hospital. Widespread belief among Arab Jews that many were given to childless European (Ashkenazi) Jewish couples. Modern DNA testing has revealed that at least some of the missing children were adopted and raised by European Jews.
1954: The Lavon Affair*, aka Operation Suzanna. Israeli terrorists false flag bombing campaign in Egypt against British and American civilian targets. With Abdel Nasser ascending and on his way to becoming president of Egypt, England was preparing to bring home the 80,000 British troops who were stationed in Egypt to protect the Suez Canal. According to IDF documents the Israelis were nervous about the British not being around to protect them. The terrorists were living inside Egypt in ‘sleeper cells.’ They bombed a post office, were about to attack five more targets when a pyro bomb one of them was carrying outside an Alexandria movie theater went off prematurely. That led to hundreds of Jews being rounded up, interrogated by the Egyptians, of the 14 terrorists, all but the commander was caught. Israel threw its operatives under the bus. Mostly in private all the top government officials denied they had anything to do with it and pointed the finger at each other. Officially Israelis denied Israel had anything to do with it and accused people who said they did of antisemitism. Fifty-two years later Israel admitted they sent the terrorists and gave the surviving terrorists a pension. [*The name: ‘The Lavon Affair sounds like the cartoonish mid-1960’s TV show, ‘The Man from UNCLE’ about two spies who always named their capers “The ———- Affair.” Which waters down the gravity of Israel’s terrorist bombing campaign.]
July 1956 Suez Crisis: Egyptian leader Gamal Nasser nationalized the British/French Suez Canal Company as a fundraiser for building the Aswan High Dam. Britain, France and Israel plot to seize the canal. Britain/France raise about 100,000 man army. Israel, which had been denied use of the canal, and been given massive arms shipments from France and elsewhere, would attack the lightly defended Sinai. Britain/France would then demand that both sides must withdraw at least 10 miles away from the Suez or Britian/France would invade to ‘stabilize’ the situation. A withdrawal of 10 miles from the Suez by Israel would be a gain in land for them since they’d come through Egyptian territory, England/France would get the Suez, Nasser would be cowed. October 29, 1956 Israel invades Sinai. Britain and France attack Egypt. President Eisenhower, fearing a wider war involving Arab states joining Russia places formidable diplomatic and threats of financial divestments that would cripple Britian. November 7, 1956 Britain, France, Israel agree to cease fire, depart the arena.
1956: Khan Younis massacre when Jewish state terrorists slaughtered hundreds of Palestinians in Khan Younis, the nearby refugee camp, and Rafah. As part of the atrocity Israeli soldieers killed 9-year-old Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi’s uncle in front of him. 31-years later al-Rantisi would co-found Hamas. In the interim al-Rantisi went to medical school in Alexandria, studied pediatric medicine and genetics, graduated first in his class. He returned to Gaza in 1976 tp teach parasitology and genetics at Islamic University.
October 29, 1956 Kafir Qasim Massacre-Inside Israel, near Jordanian border. Palestinians who were Israeli citizens. Far from battle fronts in Gaza and Egypt. Part of the Triparate Aggression (Britain, France, Israel) plot to overthrow Egyptian President Nassar. Israeli troops imposed a curfew for 5 p.m. with orders to kill anyone out after that. People coming home from work/school/play had no way of knowing about the curfew. 49 villagers slaughtered in one hour.
Israel tried, and failed, to cover-up. Some soldiers were put on trial then given a slap on the wrist. Set a precedent that Israeli soldiers, who’d been killing Palestinians with impunity for years, could be put on trial. Archives still censored by Israeli government.
1958 Glen Loury turns 10. Population of Israel has more than doubled since 1948 due to mass immigration immigration of European Jews.
