Zionist Chronology, 2000’s

2000’s

A Pivotal Decade for Palestinian Resistance

July, 2000 Camp David Summit: AKA Camp David II: Four key issues were:
1) Jewish settlements in the Occupied West Bank,
2) Borders
3) Jerusalem
4) refugees.
Predictably, each side blames the other for the failure of these negotiations. It’s worth noting that in a February 14, 2006 debate with the great Norman Finkelstein, Israel’s former Foreign Minister Schlomo Ben Ami, who was Israel’s chief negotiator at the 2000 Camp David Summit admitted, “If I were a Palestinian, I would have rejected Camp David.”

2000: British Gas drills two wells off Gaza: Finds 1.4 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Arafat goes out to give the signal for lighting the test well. Calls the gas a gift from God for Palestinian people. In the end, Israel and British bypass Palestinians in negotiations for extracting and selling the gas.

09.28.2000 Second Intifada begins when Jewish Terrorist/Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon (aka ‘The Butcher of Sabra) Marches onto Al Aqsa mosque with 1,000 Israeli occupation troops. Al Aqsa is the third holiest site in Islam. This deliberate insult provoked the 2nd Intifada (Shaking Off). Brutally repressed by Israel. The Jewish state shot hundreds of Palestinians, wounded thousands, incarcerated thousands, shut down schools–K-University for years.

This boy is 14-year-old Faris Odeh on October 29, 2000. Three days later, Israeli soldiers killed his 17-year old cousin. On November 8, 2000, 10 days after this photo was taken Faris , was throwing stones at Israeli  soldiers again. An Israeli soldier shot Faris in the neck and killed him.

2001 Condoleezza Rice appointed National Security Advisor. In August she was advised that Al Qaeda was planning to attack America. On September 11, 2001 the World Trade Center was destroyed in the worst terrorist attack in American History. She wasn’t canned. She became Secretary of State.

September 11, 2001: World Trade Center demolished killing 3,000. Asked by the New York Times what it meant for relations between the United States and Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu said, “It’s very good.” Then he said, “Well, not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy.” Think about that. Moreover, the American press put out multiple images of Palestinians ‘celebrating the attack’ that were later exposed as stock footage of holiday celebrations that had nothing to do with 911.

February, 2001: Terrorist Ariel Sharon elected Prime Minister of Israel.

2002 Benjamin Netanyahu, whose country is the only country in the Middle East with nuclear weapons, and the only country in the Middle East that refuses to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, calls on American Congress–at the American Congress– to go to war with Iraq because, Netanyahu claims, Iraq is trying to develop nuclear weapons in centrifuges the size of washing machines. Netanyahu shamelessly plays on 911 attack.
“If you take out Saddam, Saddam’s regime, I guarantee you that it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region. Netanyahu.”

While he was in Washington, Netanyahu also made the surreal claim that Iran was racing to develop ballistic missile systems “…that they hope will reach the Eastern seaboard of the United States within 15 years.”

Netanyahu also pulls in Libya (which Obama and Hillary Clinton would order destroyed in 2011 for…who?) “Iraq, Iran, and Libya are racing to develop nuclear weapons.” Netanyahu even tried to make a connection between Iraq and the Taliban in Afghanistan.
American politicians did send our country to an undeclared war with Iraq, illegal both under American law and international law. With the result that America destabilized the entire region with negative reverberations that persist over two decades later.

September 10, 2002: Philip Zelikow, serving on the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board, told a crowd at the University  of Virginia, that America’s goal in war plans against Iraq was to protect Israel.

“Why would Iraq attack America or use nuclear weapons against us? I’ll tell you what I think the real threat (is) and actually has been since 1990–it’s the threat against Israel.” he went on to say, “And this is the threat that dare not speak its name, because the Europeans don’t care deeply about that threat, I will tell you frankly. And the American government doesn’t want to lean too hard on it rhetorically, because it’s not a popular sell.” Zeilikow quote appeared  on ‘Democracy Now’ March 30 2004

2002: Netanyahu visits Israeli spy, US traitor Jonathan Pollard in prison.

2002 Rabbi Eyal Karim says it’s okay to rape Gentile women during war because it’s good for Israeli soldiers’ morale. Internationally reported and condemned at the time, in 2016 this creep would be made Chief Rabbi of the IDF, which calls itself-endlessly-the most moral army in the world. No word from the Rabbi on if it’s okay to rape ugly Gentile women.

April 2002 Journalist Helen Thomas had more balls than the entire Washington Press Corps Here’s a little excerpt with Helen T. questioning GW Bush White House Mouthpiece Ari Fleisher ( we paraphrase Fleisher below) :
HT: “Ari, does the President think that the Palestinians have a right to resist 35 years of brutal military occupation and suppression?”
AF: blah, blah, blah…
HT: “But he does think they have a legitimate right to fight for their land?”
AF: “Helen, I do not accept the description of the premise of your question, and the manner that you asked it.”
HT: “Occupation, 35 years.” Thomas would later be forced out of the Press Corps during the Obama regime.

February 05, 2003 Colin Powell lies to UN that Iraq has nuclear weapons capability, just as Netanyahu claimed to Congress, clearing the path to a million dead Iraqis.

March 16, 2003: Beautiful 23-year-old Rachel Ailene Corrie murdered by Israeli occupation trooper who deliberately crushed her to death under an armored Caterpillar bull dozer made in America. Rachel was with a group of activists trying to stop Israel from demolishing Palestinian homes in Rafah. To this day, the Jewish state claims it was an accident. They claim the driver (who had good enough visibility to drive to houses he was demolishing) couldn’t see her due to limited visibility. Footage shows her looking the driver in the face. Actor Alan Rickman wrote a play for her, ‘My name is Rachel Corrie’. On the anniversary of her murder Jewish occupation troops have put out videos of themselves laughing as they make ‘Rachel Corrie pancakes’.

March 20, 2003 Following Netanyahu incitements to Congress to invade Iraq “If you take out Saddam I guarantee you it will have tremendous positive reverberations  on the region”. And Colon Powell repeating Nethanyahu lies that Iraq was working on nuclear weapons, US destroys Iraq. The exact number of Iraqis the US slaughtered remains unknown. Estimates are around 300,000 from direct violence and several times that many from disease, hunger, exposure, failed health care system and ruined infrastructure.

September 6, 2003 Israel tries to assassinate Hamas co-founder Ahmed Yassin in Gaza by using American F-16 firing missiles at the building he was in. Yassin survived and emerged more popular than ever.

October 3, 2003 Moorer Commission Report on Israel’s deliberate attack on the USS Liberty (06.08.1967) Admiral Thomas Moorer, a naval aviator in World War II, was Chief of Naval Operatons in 1967, later Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Liberty attack and subsequent cover-up by the Johnson Administration bothered Admiral Moorer all his life. His last public act was as Chairman of the Independent Commission of Inquiry into Israel’s Attack on the USS Liberty. General of Marines Ray Davis, one of America’s most decorated generals, was also part of the Investigation. Admiral Merlin Starling and Ambassador James Adkins, were also on board. Report is in the Congressional Record. Israel did it on purpose. No question. 100%. And if you think you know more about Naval Warfare than these guys, turn off your internal dialogue. You’re wrong.

2004 There are now roughly 235,000 Jewish settlers in West Bank and Gaza (mostly in WB), plus 180,000 in East Jerusalem for a total of 415,000 Jewish Colonists

March 22, 2004 Israel assassinates Hamas co-founder Ahmed Yassin with American made Apache gunship firing hell fire missiles into a crowd as Yassin is leaving morning prayers. Among the dead were Yassin, his two body guards, nine civilians with others injured. United Nations condemns Israel for the attack. 200,000 Palestinians attend his funeral.

April 17, 2004 Israel assassinates Abdel Aziz al Rantisi co-founder of Hamas. Contrary to the Zionist narrative, Al Rantisi was a medical doctor whose family was driven out of their village during the Nakba. At nine, Al Rantisi was in Khan Younis, Gaza when Zionist troops massacred hundreds of civilians including killing his uncle in front of him.

June 2004: Another revison of the Zionist’s Jerusalem Program–which dates back 1953–which replaced the Basel Program of 1897. Ramps up Zionist ever-expanding claims on Palestine and especially Jerusalem, in points described as the foundations of Zionism. You might note that there’s nothing in the Jerusalem Program for the other faiths that have made up the Holy City for thousands of years. Get your barf bag. Here goes: “Zionism, the national liberation (sic)movement of the Jewish people, brought about the establishment of the State of Israel, and views a Jewish, Zionist, democratic and secure State of Israel to be the common responsibilitry of the Jewish people for its continuity and future. The Jerusalem Program’s foundations of Zionism are:
1) The unity of the Jewish people, its bond to its historic homeland Eretz Ysrael, and the centrality of the State of Israel and Jerusalem, its capital, in the life of the nation;
2) Aliyah to Israel from all countries and the effective integration of all immigrants into Israeli society.
3) Strengthening Israel as a Jewish, Zionist and democratic state and shaping it as an exemplary society with a unique moral and spiritual character, marked by mutual respect for the multifaceted Jewish people, rooted in the vision of the prophets, striving for peace and contributing to the betterment of the world.
4) Ensuring the future and the distinctiveness of the Jewish people by furthering Jewish, Hebrew and Zionist Education, fostering spiritual cultural values and teaching Hebrew as the national language.
5) Nurturing mutual Jewish responsibility, defending the rights of Jews as individuals and as a nation, representing the national Zionist interests of the Jewish people, and struggling against all manifestations of anti-Semitism.
6) Settling the country as an expression of practical Zionism.

2004 Guarding 7,000 ish Jewish colonists in 21 Gaza settlements has become too much of a burden, Sharon pushes plan to withdraw. Dov Weisglass tells Israelis, “The significance of the disengagement plan is the freezing of the peace process, and when you freeze that process, you prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, and you prevent a discussion of the refugees, the borders, and Jerusalem…All with the (U.S.) Presidential blessing and the ratification of both houses of Congress.” That is exactly what happened.” Weisglass was also widely quoted as saying Israel disengaging from Gaza was like formaldehyde: “It supplies the amount of formaldehyde that’s necessary so there will not b a political process with the Palestinians.”

October 16, 2004 Israeli commander cleared of killing 13-year-old Iman al Hams who was walking to school. The Jewish occupation commander who shot her claimed he thought she was planting a bomb. Audio from the soldiers recovered later showed they knew she didn’t have a bomb. After she was shot, the Israeli unit commander emptied his automatic weapon into the little girl. She had 17 bullet wounds, several in her head.

2005 ‘Smoke them out’ McWhorter turns 40 the same year non-violent BDS is founded. Hang with us for a page John, to see how America and Israel treat Palestinian non-violence.

July 09, 2005 Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions Movement (BDS) begins:
BDS has three demands:
1) Ending Israeli occupation of Arab lands that Israel occupied in 1967, including dismantling the wall.
2) Full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel.
3) Right of Return for Palestinian refugees as stipulated in UN Resolution 194.

A brief discussion follows:
1) Under international law occupied populations have the right to armed resistance. However, due to massive arms shipments and limitless funding to the Zionists over the past hundred-twenty years, first from Europe then from America, armed Palestinian resistance, brave as it has been, has not shaken the boot off Palestine’s neck.
2) Zionists and their Western backers, have broken every promise and peace agreement made to Palestinians. Therefore, diplomacy has got the Palestinians nowhere. So, what to do?
This is the conundrum that led to BDS. A movement based on the world-wide movement to boycott South Africa and which ultimately led to dissolution of apartheid there. Officially the Jewish state says BDS is nothing. Behind closed doors, Israeli officials are terrified of this movement. How terrified? This Israel lobby is working American politicians like rented mules to prohibit Americans and other countries, from boycotting the Jewish state.

A few examples of United States’ attempts to stop BDS since then: (You may say ‘WTF?’ in class out loud as often as you need to).

1) Under Obama the Pacific Trade Partnership Agreement requires countries doing business with America to not boycott Israel.
2) As of 2024; 38 American states have passed laws that those state require contractors wanting to bid on state jobs must sign a loyalty oath to Israel-specifically-contractors must sign a form stating they won’t boycott Israel. [The right to boycott as protected free speech under the First Amendment has been affirmed numerous times by the Supreme Court including protecting Martin Luther King Jr and the Civil Rights Movement from being sued for boycotting].
3) As a bill to boycott illegal Israeli settlements was working its way through the Irish Parliament Congressman Peter King (NY) leads an American delegation to deliver a thinly veiled threat that America will crush the Irish economy if the bill passes.
4) When Reykjavik, Iceland voted to boycott illegal Israeli settlement goods American poliical tools for Israel threatened to crush Iceland’s economy.

January, 26, 2005 Senate confirms Condoleezza Rice as Secretary of State. During the confirmation hearings, referring to candidate Rices role in promoting the Iraq debacle, Senator Barbara Boxer from California told Rice, “I personally believe-this is my personal view- that your loyalty to the mission you were given, to sell the (Iraq) war, overwhelmed your respect for the truth.”

2005 Having convinced most Israelis that guarding 7,000 ish Jewish colonists in 21 Gaza settlements, with more than a million Arabs around them, in an area the size of Bakersfield, California, has become too much of a burden, Israel begins to withdraw. Israel tells the U.S. it wants $2 billion to withdraw the colonists. Ariel Sharon’s advisor, Dov Weisglass says the evacuation will put formaldehyde on the the peace process and freeze talk of a Palestinian state.
*2005 Departing Israeli colonists destroy Gaza greenhouses. Understanding this is important because Zionists to this day claim they left large greenhouses for the Palestinians who destroyed them because they hate Israel that much. In fact, the Israeli colonists took what they could when they left then destroyed half of the greenhouses rather than let the Palestinians have them–because they hate the Palestinians that much. Beyond that, the Israeli government didn’t coordinate with the Palestinian government when they left, so a number of the greenhouses were ransacked by destitute Palestinians for piping, pumps, etc. U.S. philanthropists bought what was left for $14 million and donated the greenhouses to Gazans. The UN Special Envoy for Gaza Disengagement, Mideast Envoy to the Quartet, Sir James Wolfensohn, gave $500,000 of his own money for the project. The Palestinian Economic Development Council got the greenhouses up and running with a $25 million investment. By late November, the greenhouses were getting ready to harvest $20 million in crops. Hope was in the air. Then it was crushed when the Jewish state reneged on its promise to let produce out of the Karni crossing. So the food was given away, rotted on the side of the check point, or was eaten by goats. Worth noting: Israel heavily subsidized the greenhouses while Jewish colonists were there.

January 26, 2006: Palestinians hold democratic elections overseen by international observers including former US President Jimmy Carter. Main candidates are Hamas and Fatah. Fatah is widely perceived as a tool of Israel. Hamas wins by a landslide. Israel and United States neo-cons freak out. Israel cuts off most food, medicine, and other essentials to Gaza as collective punishment for the population.

2006 ‘Second Lebanon War’ Israel invades Lebanon again. 32-days. Up to a 1,000,000 Lebanese displaced. Israel called up it’s entire army, plus its reserves, over 100,000 troops on the Zionist side, plus a navy, air force, armored vehicles, and all the ammunition and weapons the long-suffering American tax payer could provide. Hezbollah’s Nassar Brigade–3,000 guys-with no air force, no navy, no armored vehicles, beat the snot of the Zionists and sent them running back to Tel Aviv. When asked why he hadn’t called up more fighters a Hezbollah observer said they didn’t need them. Yet again the Zionists failed to take the Litani River. They did spray thousands of cluster bombs all over South Lebanon as they were leaving. No military objective. Just to maim civilians after Israelis left. A percentage of cluster bombs don’t detonate on impact and remain as land mines waiting for the unsuspecting farmer or child to fall victim. Israel’s actions became the catalyst for international efforts to ban cluster bombs.

May 2007 100,000 Israeli protesters hold rally in Tel Aviv demanding resignation of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert for failure of Lebanon invasion.

May 15, 2007: Christian Zionist founder of the ‘Moral Majority’ Jerry Falwell…dies. Falwell was tight with Menachem Begin, Netanyahu, Mort Klein (Zionist Organization of America), Abe Foxman (anti-Defamation League) and many others in America’s Israel First column.

2007 Israel, Condelliza Rice, Elliot Abrams and Fatah stage a bloody coup against Hamas. After Hamas won the election, Condelleza Rice, Elliot Abrahms, and others in the Bush Administration conspired with Israel and the corrupt, Quisling, Fatah government in the West Bank to foment a coup. They armed and trained an army, promised Fatah leaders 2 billion US dollars to do the dirty work. By the time Israel opened the gates to let Fatah into Gaza, Hamas had figured out what was happening, fought Fatah house to house in heavy fighting, beat them like a red headed step child, drove them out of Gaza, took their US supplied weapons and emerged stronger than ever. *read March 2008 The Gaza Bombshell, by David Rose, Vanity Fair.

2007 Having failed to usurp Hamas Israel tightens the blockade of Gaza. Israeli Defense Ministry creates detailed list of how many calories the Jewish state will allow into Occupied Gaza by categories: meat, vegetables, dairy, etc. The idea being to weaken the population without actually starving them to death which might make Israel look bad. The conclusion was that Israel would have to let in 106 lorries per day into Gaza as the “daily humanitarian portion” Before Israel/US/Fatah failed coup Israel would let in 400 lorry loads per day. They cut that to 67. Three years later, under international pressure, Israel increased the lorries again. Ariel Sharon’s personal attorney/advisor Dov Weisglass was widely quoted as saying, “The idea is to put the Palestinians on a diet, but not to make them die of hunger.” In

2012 the BBC reported on an Israeli study called, “Food Consumption in the Gaza Strip–The Red Lines.”

2008 Glen Lowry turns 60. Happy Birthday Glenocide. Count your candles, count the dead, count the wounded, from ‘Cast Lead’…

2008 Operation Cast Lead in which the Israel you support timed its surprise bombing attack of Gaza for mid-morning when “the streets were full of children leaving their schools after morning lessons.’ [see J. Hammond]. The Jewish state bombs thousands of Palestinians out of house and home–again, destroys the sewage plant, power plant, factories, water infrastructure–again, kills over a thousand men, women, and children–again. Among the carnage was Abu Thuraya who lost both legs and a kidney to a missile strike. Thuraya would become a heroic symbol of the resistance. Nine years later a cowardly Israeli soldier will kill him with a gunshot to the head from from about 50 feet away. (see December 2017)

2008 Nelson Mandella finally take off America’s list of terrorists.

June 2008 Condoleezza Rice suggests removing Palestinians to South America. Meeting in Berlin with Americans/Israelis/Fatah Palestinians (but not Hamas as far as we know) Rice suggests sending Palestinians to Argentina and Chile. (revealed in wikileaks 2011).

14 June, 2009 Netanyahu says Israel will never negotiate with Hamas. Baby Netanyahu gives long-winded speech in Tel Aviv where he says, “I turn to our Palestinian neighbors, led by the Palestinian Authority, and I say, “Lets begin negotiations immediately, without preconditions…” Then he rattles off a raft of Israel’s preconditions:
1) “Therefore a fundamental prerequisite for ending the conflict is a public, binding, and unequivocal Palestinian recognition of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people.”
2) “There must also be a clear understanding that the Palestinian refugee problem will  be resolved outside of Israel’s borders.  [two problems with this 1) Under international law. Palestinian refugees have a right to return, just as Jews had a right to return to Germany after WW2. And 2) Israel’s the only country that doesn’t have defined borders because they want to keep taking Arab land.]
3) The territory under Palestinian control must be demilitarized [are you getting the message that the place will still be under Israeli control not Palestinian?] Demilitarized, in the Baby Zone means Palestinians will not be allowed:
a) missiles
b) an army
c) to close its air space to Israel
d) make pacts with the likes of Hezbollah, or Iran.
e) “And obviously, the Palestinians will not be able to forge military pacts.”
4) Israel needs defensible borders [again, Israel doesn’t have defined borders].
5) “Jerusalem must remain the united capital of Israel  with continued religious freedom for all faiths.”  [Jerusalem doesn’t belong to Israel according to international law. and Israel persecutes Christians and Muslims there.]
6) Jewish settlers in the West Bank must be protected.
7) The Palestinian Authority will have to “establish the rule of law in Gaza and overcome Hamas.”
8) “Israel will not sit at the negotiating table with terrorists who seek their destruction.”

2009 Israeli Education Ministry bans use of the word Nakba in textbooks for Palestinian children.

2001-2010 US Trade “Deficit” to Israel over this decade $71,057,000,000 [This is in addition to the billions in weapons and other aid the US gives Israel every year anyway.]
