28 August, 1980: Israel tries to assassinate US diplomat John Gunther Dean as he was riding in a three car motorcade with his family and Lebanese body guards. They were attacked by assassins firing machine guns and light anti-tank missiles. Dean and his family survived because their car had bullet-proof windows and tires that reinflated after they were shot out. Attack was initially claimed to have been made by the FLLF (false flag terror group created by Israel in 1979 to blame attacks on Palestinians). Dean traced the missiles back to the United States manufacture. The US had given them to Israel. September 198o: Following the 1979 Iranian Revolution, Israel and the United States foment a war between Iran and Iraq with Israel backing Iran (!) and the US backing Iraq. This war would kill over half a million people. The United States gave Iraq materials for chemical weapons that killed over 300,000 Iranians. The Iranians refused to use chemical weapons. (worth noting, US backed Iraq was led by Saddam Hussein who the US would invade, overthrow in 2003, and eventually have executed in 2006).

June, 1981 Nobel Peace Prize winning terrorist Menachem Begin’s Israeli government bombs Osirak plant in Iraq claiming they suspect Iraqis are making nuclear weapons material there. (there were no nuclear weapons materials). Violating both US and International Law. Begin immediately calls Jerry Falwell asking for support explaining that Israel was only defending itself.
October 6, 1981: Anwar Sadat assassinated in Cairo during a celebratory parade marking the anniversary of Operation Badr from 1973 when Egypt crossed to Suez Canal to retake the Sinai Peninsula.
June, 06,1982-1985 Israel invades Lebanon again. ‘Operation Peace for Galilee’ couldn’t keep the Litani but the invasion resulted in 400,000 homeless refugees in Lebanon. In addition, after Israel left as many as 850,000 Lebanese who’d backed the Zionists left the country. Lebanese fighters eventually drove Israelis out. Hezbollah Resistance Militia was born during this invasion to drive Israel Military out of Lebanon, which it did.

September 10, 1982: , The Palestinian Liberation Army (PLO) under Yassir Arafat, departs Beirut. Moves to Tunisia. Following peace talks, and with a promise from the United Nations that Palestininan civilians would be protected if they left. One week later Israel orchestrates slaughter of thousands of innocent Palestinians in Beirut.

Feb 02, 1983: Israeli provocations against US Marines guarding Beirut Airport continue: Trying to pull America deeper into Israel’s invasion, Israelis had provoked at least 6 incidents with the Marines. This time three Israeli tanks approached the Marine’s position at speed. Captain Charles Johnson walked into the road ordering them to stop. They stopped a foot in front of him declaring their intention to pass. Johnson ordered them off. When they said they’d pass anyway the Marine jumped up on the tank, yanked the Israeli out of the turret with his left hand, a pistol locked and loaded in his right, and ordered the tanks off. The Israeli demanded to talk to a General. Johnson told him to No. The Israelis left. Two things about this: One: Tank Commanders are usually enlisted NCO’s, sargeants or staff sargeants. The loser that Captain Johnson plucked out of the tank was a Lt. Colonel.This implies that the Israelis were on a fishing trip to see what they could get away with. 2) The Israelis tried to smear Johnson saying he was drunk on duty, ‘a cowboy who panicked’. Johnson wasn’t a drinker and if anyone panicked it was the Israeli Lt. Colonel.

October 23, 1983: Suicide attack on Marine Barracks, Beirut, Lebanon. kills 307 ( 241 US Military, 58 French Military, 6 civilians, 2 suicide bombers). Americans ask, “Why are protecting Israel’s invasion of Lebanon?” No answers.
1984 Jewish US military analyst Jonathan Pollard becomes a spy for Israel. The Israelis fly him and his girlfriend Anne to Paris where they stay at the Hilton. The happy couple married in Vienna.

1985 Israel bombs PLO Headquarters in Tunisia using Jonathan Pollard’s stolen information.
November 18, 1985 Jonathan Pollard realizes he being watched by FBI. Called his wife Anne with code word ‘cactus’ that means they’re in trouble and get all the evidence out of the apartment. Anne packs up documents, leaves them with a neighbor but misses some. She calls Pollard’s Israeli handler, Avi Sella, for help. Sella has no diplomatic immunity and could go to prison for espionage. He tells Anne to remain at the apartment by herself. Then Sella catches the first plane out of town for Europe. Thinking the apartment was clean, Pollard allows the FBI to search it. They find the documents. Start grilling Pollard. He appeals to the Israelis. Pollard tries calling his Israeli contacts from a phone booth. Finds their phones have been disconnected and they’ve left the country.
November 21, 1985 Pollard goes to the Israeli Embassy seeking sanctuary. Israelis know he’s being followed by the FBI. They throw him out. He’s arrested. Israelis deny responsibility for Pollard. Claim it was a rogue action. Then they throw Pollard under the bus. Give the US government enough evidence to convict Pollard but don’t return all of it.

October 5, 1986: Israeli nuclear technician/whistle blower Mordechai Vanunu describes Israel’s well-known secret nuclear weapons program to the UK ‘Sunday Times.’ Vanunu had worked at the Dimona nuclear weapons plant in Israeli Negev desert for eight years. Under the Symington-Glenn Amendment to the Arms Export Control Act of 1976, this revelation made it clear that the United States of America is violating it’s own laws by supplying weapons to Israel. US government continues to supply weapons to Israel anyway. Vanunu was lured to Italy where he was kidnapped by the Mossad, taken to Israel, tried in a secret court proceeding, sentenced to 18 years in prison, the first 11 years in solitary confinement. After that he was nominally released but restricted to Israel and sent back to prison repeatedly.
March 04, 1987 Jonathan Pollard Sentenced to life in prison. Possibility of parole in 10-yars. Zionist lawyer Alan Dershowitz will later claim Pollard was a victim because he’s Jewish.
December, 08 1987 Israeli truck runs over car carrying Palestinian workers in Jabalya refugee camp, northern Gaza. Kills four of them. Thus begins the First Intifada

1987 Hamas founded by Ahmed Yassin, Dr. Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi and five others after out break of the Intifada. These men’s families were among the 750,000 Palestinians ethnically cleansed from what was to become Israel during the Nakba in 1948. Yassin was an aged, nearly blind, quadriplegic who was transported by wheel chair. Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi was a medical doctor who was nine-years-old when Israel committed the Khan Younis massacre–Israeli troops murderd al-Rantisi’s uncle in front of him. A crime that affected al-Rantisi all his life.
1988 Glen Loury turns 40 during the Bone Breaking Intifada.

February 02, 1988 Israeli Army orders all 1,194 schools in the West Bank closed until further notice. All 6 Palestinian Universities, 13 colleges, 5 government training schools ordered closed.
During 1988 Israel closed schools from K-University shutting down education to 385,000 students. Palestinian parents, worried about their kids falling behind in studies, arrange for teachers to hold lessons for children in homes, shops, etc. Israeli occupation directs Birzeit University officials: “Under no circumstances can you teach, in houses or anywhere else. If we find anyone teach or any students carrying books we will take appropriate measures against them.”

Schools closed in West Bank for 8 months in 1988. Six months in 1989. All colleges and universities were closed for years. Prior to Israel closing the schools, Palestinian students were counted at the top in the region.
